Context
Resident performance develops over years and is documented through many evaluations, ratings, milestones, and written observations. ResDash organizes this evidence into a longitudinal view that supports preparation, discussion, and decision-making during formal review sessions.
Setting
UC Health Internal Medicine residency program in Cincinnati, Ohio.
People
Resident physicians, faculty reviewers, coaches, pre-reviewers, and Clinical Competency Committee members.
The interface makes dense evaluation records easier to scan while keeping direct paths to monthly ratings and narrative evidence.
Performance View
The resident page combines milestone reviews, faculty and peer trendlines, heatmaps, spider graphs, rating counts, and narrative feedback. These coordinated views help reviewers move between a high-level performance pattern and the individual assessments behind it.
Longitudinal comparison
Reviewers can examine the past six months, the full residency, or a custom time frame.
Multiple perspectives
Faculty and peer or allied evaluations are presented as distinct evidence rather than collapsed into a single score.
Evidence on demand
Selecting a month, evaluation question, or chart element reveals its related ratings and narrative data.
Review Workflow
ResDash supports the work around a review as well as the review itself. Faculty can locate assigned residents, open a pre-review report, identify records that still require review, write committee comments, and return to previous review sessions.
Resident organization
Resident lists can be viewed by reviewer assignment, program year, or alphabetical order.
Focused retrieval
Search and filters narrow narrative feedback and OPA records by evaluation, evaluator, month, and marked item.
Hover states clarify charts and controls, selected months remain visible across panels, and completed reports can be printed or exported to PDF and Excel.
